Peter began his legal career as a corporate associate at Gadsby Hannah LLP (now McCarter English LLP) in Boston.  Peter has represented clients in connection with mergers of private companies, stock and asset purchase agreements, the registration and sale of equity securities, securities law compliance and corporate governance matters. Peter has represented clients engaged in the health care, higher education, high technology, telecommunications, and software industries.  In addition, Peter has represented quasi-public agencies in connection with multiple large-scale, mixed-use real estate development projects.

Before beginning his legal practice, Peter served as a Policy Analyst for the Honorable Thomas M. Finneran, then-Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives.  As a Policy Analyst, Peter focused his analyses on areas including convention center development, restructuring of the electric industry, and financing of professional sports stadiums.  Prior to assuming that role, Peter served as a Special Assistant to Mr. Finneran while he was Chairman of the Massachusetts House Committee on Ways & Means.
