Jon has significant transactional experience in the pharmaceutical and technology industries.  He works primarily in FDR’s research and development, licensing and manufacturing practice areas and represents clients in a wide variety of matters. 

Prior to joining FDR, Jon was a Senior Counsel at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Jon handled legal activities for the company in many areas, including licensing biotechnology and software technologies and advising its clinical and manufacturing operations. Jon was the primary business attorney for Millennium’s alliance with Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (now a member of the sanofi-aventis Group) and helped to mentor and train Millennium’s contracts associates.

Before Millennium, Jon held the positions of Deputy General Counsel at Brookstone, Inc., a specialty retailer, and Product Counsel at Apple Computer, Inc. Jon started his legal career as a business associate in the Los Angeles office of Folger & Levin (now Folger Levin & Kahn LLP).  Prior to attending law school, Jon worked for several years in the publishing industry.

Jon received an A.B. from Brown University, magna cum laude with Honors, and received a J.D. with Distinction from Stanford Law School.
