Adam is an accomplished lawyer with significant transactional and general corporate experience, including matters ranging from securities and corporate finance to joint ventures and distribution agreements.
From 2005 through 2009, Adam was CEO of Link Medicine, a company focused on discovering and developing disease-modifying neurodegenerative therapies. Under Adam’s leadership, Link concluded three rounds of financing with major institutional, strategic and high net-worth individual investors, in-licensed a compound initially developed by a major pharmaceutical company, hired an extremely talented scientific team to accelerate ground-breaking neuroscience research, and initiated development of a pipeline of novel Link compounds.
Before joining FDR, Adam was a member of the corporate department and private equity practice group at the Boston law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart. He previously practiced corporate, securities and transactional law at Hill & Barlow in Boston, Venture Law Group in Seattle and Chadbourne & Parke in New York. Adam has represented numerous private equity funds on fund formation, administration and investing, including many investments in the life sciences sector.
From 1999-2001, Adam was a Principal with Ovation Capital Partners, an early-stage technology venture capital firm in New York, where he sourced and evaluated potential investments and also worked closely with portfolio companies on strategic initiatives and fundraising.
Adam received a B.A. from Whittier College, magna cum laude, and a J.D. from The University of Virginia School of Law. After graduating from law school he clerked with the Honorable Albert V. Bryan, Jr. of the United States District Court in Alexandria, Virginia.
